Created in the mid-19th century by a few members of the English Alpine Club, the Haute Route, which linked Chamonix to Zermatt on skis or on foot, was for a long time reserved for the world's most experienced mountaineers.
With the growing success of this Alpine crossing and the democratization of mountaineering, a new, more accessible route has emerged: the Haute Route des Randonneurs. For several years now, it has been possible to use a new means of transport: the electric bicycle. Not only is the journey faster, but the pleasure reaches new heights.
Embark on a four-day journey of pure pleasure in the footsteps of the pioneers of mountaineering,
Between flowing trails, technical passes and physical climbs, let yourself be amazed by wild and breathtaking landscapes.

Day 1: Verbier – La Sage

Because you should never get stuck into the hard stuff right away, we'll be taking several lifts. This will allow us to limit the elevation gain as much as possible, while still descending nearly 4000m! Between a flow trail, a magnificent ridge, playful paths, as well as crossings over old bisses and at the top of the mountain pastures, you won't have time to get bored. The goal of the day? Reach a boutique hotel steeped in history on the heights of Evolène.

Day 2: The Sage – Bella Tola

This time, however, we'll have to climb. And not just any climb, since we'll be climbing a pass at an altitude of over 2900m. On the other side, the turquoise waters of the majestic Lac de Moiry await us, a true spectacle. After a well-deserved meal at the dam, we'll continue our descent into the Val d'Anniviers before climbing back up towards St-Luc through ancient villages.

Day 3: Bella Tola – Unterbäch/Moosalp

After crossing a rocky pass, our efforts will be rewarded with a descent that's initially technical, then becomes super flowy. For those who are less sensitive to the cold, it might even be possible to swim in an alpine lake! We'll continue with a traverse through the hills and a surprise for the less fearful.

Day 4: Moosalp – Zermatt

Road to Zermatt!!! A magnificent descent will take us into the valley, which we will climb up the hillsides and along the rivers. The peaks will gradually reveal themselves before our eyes, until it is the turn of the long-awaited Matterhorn to show itself! Then, what better way to complete this magnificent journey than with a flowtrail with a panoramic view?

OF INTEREST:

The price includes accommodation with half-board, ski lifts, and a taxi back to Le Châble from Zermatt. Lunch (and other snacks) are not included.

An e-bike with a minimum 650 Wh battery is recommended. We'll carry chargers in our bags so we can recharge the batteries during lunch and at night.

"Top, really top!"

What a memorable trip! As the welts on my undercarriage start to support I'm left with only good memories of 3 days of exhilarating riding, in an amazing alpine playground in the company of a perfect group. Thank you all for welcoming Logan (and Finn). I wasn't quite sure how they'd find it, but Logan recounted only positive stories to his mum, so I am firmly in the good books! And to Ismael and Yann, what amazing guides you were! You'd clearly spent a lot of effort scouting a great route, and your guiding skills, mechanical skills, patience and moral support were just superb. Hats off to both of you 👏👏👏

We look forward to welcoming you!
