Created in the mid-19th century by a few members of the English Alpine Club, the Haute Route, which linked Chamonix to Zermatt on skis or on foot, was for a long time reserved for the world's most experienced mountaineers.
With the growing success of this Alpine crossing and the democratization of mountaineering, a new, more accessible route has emerged: the Haute Route des
Hikers. For several years now, it's been possible to use a new means of transportation, such as the electric bicycle. Not only is the journey faster, but the enjoyment is even greater.

Top, really top! We saw beautiful landscapes and were in contact with nature, it was just superb! The paths were like in a fairy tale and not too difficult. Moreover, we could progress thanks to the advice of Yann who was a great guide.

How to dress for mountain biking?
MTB helmet : essential for obvious security reasons.
MTB clothing bottoms : shorts or trousers.
MTB clothing top : jersey, base layer, technical jacket.
MTB gloves : long or short and warmer for the winter.
MTB shoes : more or less notched according to the degree of grip required.
MTB glasses : for eye protection and clear visibility.
Protections : knee and elbow pads if necessary.
