Mountain biking team building – An orienteering race on e-bikes

The Swiss Mountain Biking School has developed an exclusive product for groups (schools, companies, clubs): Orienteering on e-bikes.

This team-building activity typically takes place over half a day. Presented as a team challenge, this fun activity encourages collective thinking and joint decision-making.

Logistics and equipment

Each participant must have a fully charged and maintained e-mountain bike. ESV can provide up to 60 bikes, including delivery. As for equipment, please bring a helmet (mandatory), athletic shoes, jeans, and a waterproof jacket. We are organizing the activity at Verbier, but we also travel throughout the region according to your preferences.

Accessibility for all

No technical or athletic level is required. Each participant adjusts their effort using the different assistance modes (ECO, TOUR, EMTB, or TURBO). For groups seeking a challenge, we can establish a maximum assistance level rule! If certain checkpoints are more technical, teams can rely on their most daring members to reach them, while the others optimize the route strategy.

Challenge Procedure

Equipped with a map, each team must validate 15 checkpoints out of approximately 20 available positions. Strategy is key: they must devise the shortest route. At each checkpoint, a stamp validates passage.

Some points conceal additional challenges: quizzes on flora and fauna, mechanics questions, or balance workshops. We can customize these challenges according to your professional or educational themes to highlight everyone's skills.

Security and supervision

After a thorough briefing (safety, e-bike handling, navigation), the teams set off. Our guides constantly patrol the area to ensure safety and resolve any mechanical issues. For maximum peace of mind, each team has a phone with a guide's emergency number. Refreshments are also provided so participants can travel light.

Arrival and socializing

Once all 15 points have been validated, the teams meet back at the starting point. The maps are then handed to the race director for the rankings to be established. The activity concludes with a snack or aperitif, the perfect time for announcing the results and awarding prizes.

This unique team building activity guarantees enhanced group cohesion and a memorable experience for everyone.
